The God Squad: Thunder and Pomp

Mathew Clarke had finally gotten used to dealing with the monsters attracted to him and his brother, only to discover gods are so much worse. The brothers ran away from home to protect their family from the attention of the strange creatures only they can see. After losing their father's magic amulet, they find themselves thrust into a war between the gods over the fate of humanity. Neither wants to end up a pawn in the gods' plans. It turns out the gods are just as petty and flawed as humans. Just as the Clarke brothers find a safe place where they might fit in, their world is turned upside down again. They soon learn not everyone is all good or all bad and life is complicated until it isn't. The brothers must have faith in themselves and their friends and make allies in the most unlikely of places in order to save each other and find home.
